Today's residential solar control window films offer the homeowner an impressive array of technologies, which improve window efficiency by blocking 99.9% of the Sun's ultraviolet rays, rejecting up to 79% of the heat gain from sunlight, and eliminating glare. Safety & Security Applications
Vista and Llumar safety and security window films are a terrific way to improve the strength and safety of the windows in your home or business. Installed on the interior surface of an existing window, these (typically 4-mil) polyester films make glass more break-resistant, and far less likely to shatter into hundreds of sharp, dangerous pieces should a heavy impact occur. (Safety films can actually hold the shattered glass together.) For maximum storm protection (i.e.. hurricane wind and debris), we strongly recommend our "attached" installation option, which "locks" the glass into the window frame, and thereby reduces wind stress "blow outs", which are notorious for dangerous, airborne glass shards. Keeping the glass in place also significantly reduces the residual damage caused by wind and heavyrains during a storm. Finally, by protecting the exterior "envelope" of your home or business, you also reduce the risk of structural pressurization, which can lead to everyone's "worst case scenario"-roof loss and structural failure.

Energy saving tinted safety films are available to reduce heat gain and protect against fading, in addition to the safety benefits mentioned above. All films and installations are fully warranteed. Commercial Applications
Commercial application often present unique solar challenges. Whether you have a retail store and have display merchandise being ruined (fading) by direct ultraviolet sunlight, or you own a bar or restaurant and would like to darken your windows for ambiance, or you want greater protection against "smash and grab" theft, we can help you select the window film that's right for your business. Over the years we have applied virtually every type of film on the windows of businesses in and around Myrtle Beach. Even more so than with homes, every business has its own, specific needs. Typically, the financial bottom-line is also a motivating factor in a window film purchase. "Is this going to save us money?" The answer is a resounding "Yes!". Energy savings alone can achieve true payback in a relatively short time; and, the increased life span of carpeting, merchandise, art, and furnishings will further add to those savings. Our window films can also satisfy certain code requirements. According to building codes in our area, tempered glass is required in all windows in close proximity to floors (for example, sliding glass doors) or in "slip-prone areas", such as bathrooms. Our 4-mil, safety/security films bring ordinary plate (or annealed) glass up to tempered glass [ANSI Z97.1] code for "break safe" characteristics.
